Deleting user accounts
With FlexiQuiz quiz maker, you can also permanently delete user accounts linked to your main account along with any associated data.
FlexiQuiz is unable to restore the data after you delete it. If you want to stop users from accessing the account but retain the data, you can export the reports or suspend user accounts.
This guide shows you how to delete user accounts that appear on your user management dashboard.
Considerations when deleting a user account
Before deleting an account, we recommend contacting the main Administrator to check if any data needs to be saved. Also, please consider the following:
- By deleting a user, it is permanent action and cannot be undone. The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) states that we cannot store data if you have requested we delete it.
- All quiz data (such as quiz results) within the account will be permanently deleted.
- The username will not longer be associated with the FlexiQuiz account.
- The user will be removed from any Groups.
- If the user is a Trainer or extra Administrator, any quizzes they have made are kept and linked to the primary Admin.
How to delete a user profile
You can delete a user profile if you are the primary account Administrator or have an extra Admin / Trainer account with permission to manage users.
- To delete a user, log in to your FlexiQuiz account and select Users from the top menu. Your user management screen will appear.
- From here, you can scroll up and down the page to find the user you want to delete.
- Hover over the user until the trash icon appears.
- Click on the trash icon to remove the user.
- A window will pop up to ask you to confirm that you want to delete the user. If you are ready to permanently delete them, press Delete.
The user profile is removed from your user management screen and all associated data is deleted. The user is unable to log in.
If the user is an extra Administrator or Trainer, any quizzes they have made will be kept and linked to the main Admin account.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between suspending an account and deleting an account?
If you suspend a user account, all of the data is saved but the user cannot access their portal. You can unsuspend the account at any time and allow the user to access their portal. Learn more about suspending and unsuspending user accounts.
If you delete a user account, all of the data is deleted. The data cannot be recovered.
