How to share certificates
Sharing quiz certificates is a great way to celebrate achievements and recognise accomplishments.
FlexiQuiz allows you to easily create and share a custom certificate with qualifying respondents that they can download on the results screen or an email.
To start, you will need to build your custom certificate and set the pass grade to qualify for the certificate. Once your certificate is ready, you can choose how you want to share it with respondents.
#1. Downloadable link on the results page
Respondents can instantly download a copy of their certificate on the quiz results page.
- First, you must ensure that your quiz will display a results page. From the Configure screen, select Results on the left-hand menu and tick the box, Show results page.
- Next, go to the Certificate tab and tick the box Enable download.
Learners can download a copy of their certificate once they have completed their quiz.
#2. Automatically email respondents
You can create and share a custom email notification with the certificate attached. We will automatically send the email when respondents submit their quiz.
- To start, ensure that your quiz-takers provide a valid email address. You can collect their email on a quiz registration form, during self-registration for a Respondent portal or when users purchase a course. Alternatively, you can provide the email address on email invitations or Respondent portals.
- From the Configure screen, select Notifications on the left-hand menu. Scroll down the page and tick the boxes Email respondent and Include certificate.
- Finally, select certificate from the left-hand menu and tick the box Email copy to respondent.
#3. Email respondents at a later date
There may be times when you want to share certificates later. For instance, you need to score the quiz manually or update the original copy.
Once the learner has completed the quiz, you can access a copy of the certificate from your analyze screen.
- From your analyze screen, scroll down your analyze dashboard to find the relevant learner and press select action.
- If the learner qualifies for a certificate, the drop-down menu will show the option certificate.
- If there is also a valid email address associated with the learner, you will see the option to email results. You can send the email at any time with the configuration set-up on the Notifications tab.
- You can also regenerate the certificate with updated scores, template designs and dates. However, changing respondents' names on certificates is not currently possible.
#4. Email a copy of the certificate to yourself or other people
You may wish to share a copy of the certificate with the respondent’s manager, the principal or others within your organization.
- From the Notification tab, tick the boxes Email results and Include certificate.
- Next, add the email address for each person you want to send the email to in the Email to list. It’s important to note that the email address you enter in the Email to list will receive all results for all users who complete the test.
An email is automatically sent to everyone on the Email to list each time the quiz is submitted.
Top tip! If a student qualifies for a certificate and retakes the same quiz, the original certificate is no longer available on the analyze screen or Respondent portal.
Frequently asked questions
Why can I not see the certificate option in the drop-down menu on the Analyze screen?
To start, check that the user qualifies for a certificate. A certificate is only issued if the learner gets a pass grade. You can customize the pass grades on the Grading tab and need to ensure that the pass box is ticked.
In addition, check whether the learner has completed the test and then started again. The Analyze screen only displays the learner’s current attempt. Select previous attempts to view all the learner's scores.
Select the Include unsubmitted quizzes tab to view users who have re-started the quiz and not submitted it.
