Creating quizzes and questions with zero points

Can I create a question with zero points?

Yes, you can award zero points to any of the 9 question types on Classic or Live quizzes.

You can choose not to award points for selected questions or the whole quiz.

A quiz with no scoring is helpful when there is no right or wrong answer. For example:

• Feedback forms
• Surveys
• Personality tests

How do I create a question with zero points?

Log in to your FlexiQuiz account and follow these steps:

1. Press Create Quiz
2. Choose a Live or Classic quiz type
3. Enter a name for your quiz, survey, or feedback form
4. Choose a question type and add your question
5. In the box on the tp right, change the score to 0
6. Format and save the question

Quiz-takers will not be awarded any points on this question.

Important! The system is automatically configured on a classic quiz to show a Results screen with scoring and a Review answers report with marking. If the question has no correct answer, all responses will be displayed as wrong on the report.

FlexiQuiz is fully customizable, and so you can update the Results screen and report to meet your requirements.

Can I remove the marking from the Review Answer report and PDF?

The Review Answers report and PDF can be displayed on the test-takers results screen.

To remove the marking from all questions on the reports, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Configure screen and select Results from the left-hand menu
2. Scroll down to show question marking and untick the box

The FlexiQuiz system automatically saves your update. Every time someone takes the test, we will not show a tick or cross next to their response.

Note! It is impossible to remove the marking from the reports saved on the Analyze screen.

Can I remove scoring on the Results screen?

Yes, you can customize the results screen and not show a score or grade.

To customize the screen:

1. Go to the Configure screen and select Results from the left-hand menu
2. Untick the boxes that you don't need such as Results, Grade, Percentage Score
3. You also have an option to add a message at the top of the results screen

Do I have to include a Results page at the end of the survey?

No. You do not need to show the results page at the end of your survey or feedback form.

To remove the results page:

1. Go to the Configure screen and select Results from the left-hand menu
2. Untick the box Show results page

The page is removed. Students will see a standard message to say the quiz has finished and they can close their browser.

Alternatively, you can display a Thank You page that you can customize with your text in any language, videos, images, or audio.
